Reliability and Resilience: HOPE Global Joins the USFMA

By February 12, 2026News

Recently, the United States Footwear Manufacturers Association (USFMA) welcomed HOPE Global as a new member. This partnership is a natural fit for us as we continue to support the growth of the American footwear sector.

A Practical History

Many people recognize HOPE Global through our historical connection to the Converse All Star. As the original supplier of the flat cotton laces for the “Chuck Taylor,” we established a standard for durable, functional components.

Today, that same commitment to quality applies to our work with other major brands and our production of bootlaces for the U.S. military. For us, joining the USFMA is a way to advocate for effective trade policies and the continued reshoring of manufacturing—efforts that keep the domestic supply chain secure.

Balancing Tradition with Automation

In our facility, you will find machines that have been in service for decades running alongside the latest automated technology. This isn’t about nostalgia; it’s about using the right tool for the job. By continually upgrading our equipment, we ensure our workforce can produce high-quality materials efficiently.

At HOPE Global, we believe maintaining these capabilities domestically is a matter of national importance. Ensuring that key components for footwear, especially for our military, are sourced here in the U.S. protects the industry from the risks of a fragmented global supply chain and ensures a reliable, steady flow of materials.

Strategic Manufacturing for the Automotive Sector

While our history with footwear is a point of pride, the infrastructure we’ve built serves a wide range of industries. The same precision required for high-performance textiles is applied to our work as an OEM partner for the automotive industry.

Our capabilities extend far beyond cords and webbing. We provide fully integrated solutions for car manufacturers, including:

  • Plastic and foam injection molding.
  • Precision leather and vinyl wrapping.
  • Specialized seating integration components.

If you are looking for an experienced OEM partner to handle complex interior components, we are here to help. Our team provides the stability and technical expertise necessary to meet the demanding requirements of modern vehicle production.

We look forward to collaborating with fellow USFMA members and continuing to serve as a reliable resource for our partners in the automotive and footwear industries.
