The Wire Division is primarily responsible for manufacturing Hope’s exclusive FORM-A-GRIP®.

Form-A-Grip® is a knitted steel substrate used in co-extrusions for automotive trunk and door seals. At Hope Global we draw our own wire giving us control over cast, helix, and diameter of the wire. Standard widths range from .5" to 2.0".

Form-A-Grip

Advantages of Form-A-Grip:

  • 25% less weight than slotted metal in final extrusions.
  • Flexible to readily accommodate curves and bends.
  • No sharp edges and easy to trim
  • Ability to compress allowing easy installation in corners.
  • No additional coating needed to promote adhesion.
  • Reduction of scrap and minimal downtime due to elimination of splice breaks.

We have virtually unlimited knitting capacity and an extraordinary on-time delivery record.  Hope Global prepares and ships finished products based upon customer-specified roll sizes, cone sizes, and pallet sizes and splice designs, and are pleased to accommodate special packaging requirements.
