Mission Statement

HOPE GLOBAL will develop, market and manufacture engineered textile components for high potential commercial and industrial customers.  We will grow by leveraging our capability to provide value added solutions and outstanding customer service through utilization of our broad range of textile technologies and capacities.

Historical Highlights
  • 1883- Hope Webbing  founded in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
  • 1957- Mr. David Casty purchases Hope Webbing and establishes a new Braiding Division.
  • 1986- Hope Webbing expands its product line to include Automotive Applications.
  • 1997- Hope Webbing expands globally:  Hope Mexico and Hope France established.
  • 1998- Hope Webbing opens a second plant in Cumberland.
  • 1998- Hope Global receives ISO 9001 and  QS 9000 certification.

  • 2000- New President for Hope: Ms. Cheryl Merchant and a new name and logo:  HOPE        GLOBAL "Engineered Textile Solutions".

  • 2003- Hope Global has over 600 employees with 5 production facilities and 3 sales offices.

  • 2006- Hope Global receives E 14001 certification for Cumberland locations.

  • 2008- Hope Global celebrates its 125 year anniversary.
